Out of the world’s 2.8 billion Internet users, only 1.3 billion are women. Women account for fewer than 20% of ICT specialists in developing economies and has been estimated that, by 2030, 90% of formal employment across all sectors will require ICT skills.

Girls Slay Code is a program is designed by Tech4her Africa in partnership with our resource partners: MEST Africa, IBM & American Corner-CCHUB. We are passionate about increasing the access of women and girls to technology tools, skills and mentoring leading to financial liberation.
Our MISSION is to increase the number of women in the digital space by empowering girls of ages 15 to 55 to become Innovators in STEM fields, Leaders in their communities, and Builders of their own futures through exposure to Computer Science and Technology.
Our Vision is To Train The Next 25,000 female tech leaders to watch in Africa zooming on Nigeria by 2025.

There’s a lot to learn when it comes to coding. How do you know where to start?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We have something for everyone, whether you’re new to coding, or a long time learner, explore the options below for #HourOfCode with #Tech4her.
2 hours code sessions {1hr theory + 1 hr practical} for 1 week, with a network of experts you will be able to master the basics of any tech concept.
Registration closes March 3, 2022. You can apply from any country in Africa. You can only choose a maximum of 2 modules.
Themes for the Sessions: You can only choose a maximum of 2 modules.
Module 1: COMPTIA’s Information Technology Fundamentals {Lite}
Module 2: Web Development with PHP & HTML
Module 3: Beginners Guide To Crypto Art {Metaverse}
Module 4: Build Webpage From Scratch with HTML & CSS.
Module 5: Microsoft’s Data Science Course For Beginners
Module 6: UI/UX design & Prototyping with Figma
Module 7: IBM’s Cybersecurity Course for Starters
Who is it For: The training is open to every woman in different African countries. If you are outside Nigeria, You can choose the online class option.
- Senior School students (SS1-3)
- Undergraduates & Fresh graduates
- Females from 13-55 years of age.
You can choose how you’d like to experience the event:
- General session {General class}
- Executive Weekend session. {Class holds on 2 Saturdays as scheduled}
- Private coaching {Student can choose a time period and you are assigned to a private tutor for each module}
- Mentored session {Extra lessons are taken by student with a private tutor}

- Course Tutors and Mentors available to attendees during and after the code sessions
- Certificate of achievement presented to participants

Onsite: March 10th & 11th | 1hr Daily | Impact Hub, Ikoyi Lagos
Online: March 16th & 17th | 1hr Daily | E-learning platform and Live Stream
Weekend: March 12th & 19th | Choose online or onsite and occurs on 2 Saturdays {Premium}
Private: Timing can be customized, choose either online or onsite or weekend: {Premium}
This training is tuition free, however registration package fees N5500 applies- includes a certificate and learning resources. If you choose Private coaching or Weekend session, you will receive more information regarding that.
