Code and Coffee is a casual event to co-work with fellow local women in tech thereby harnessing entrepreneurship skills and expanding their professional network.

At this event, women are encouraged to bring their own projects and laptops for a fun, informal way to learn, code, and work on projects with other members in the community. From Ruby on Rails and Javascript, to Python and Django and HTML/CSS, these events are open to all women or those who support women and minorities in tech.

Spice up your coding skills with entrepreneurship fervor. You can  also find potential partners, co founders, team members and investors.

Tech4her Africa (Host)

Tech4her Africa (a social enterprise working towards expanding economic opportunities for women by enabling them with Technology tools) has hosted a series of code sessions at CCHUB, American corner for about 400 ladies in 2018. Drive is to train the next 5000 female developers by 2020. By 2020, we will have 5000 ladies on Her Code Network. https://hcn.tech4herafrica.com

Last month, 4 members of our Alumni network trained by the CEO, Mrs  Elizabeth Edwards won the Silicon Valley’s AngelHack competition. MEST (CO-HOST)

MEST offers aspiring entrepreneurs a fully sponsored, intensive 12 month training program. Entrepreneurs-in-Training (EITs) are sourced from top graduates in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Cote d’Ivoire.

Top aspiring entrepreneurs from across Africa are chosen to participate in fully-funded one-year entrepreneurship training program in Accra, Ghana.

Through the Meltwater Foundation, MEST offers $50k-$200k in seed funding to selected graduating teams in exchange for a minority stake in the company. https://www.meltwater.org
